Need a symbol rescue?

Here are the fastest ways to get Glyphs working well on iPhone and iPad.

Install the Glyphs keyboard

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Go to General, then Keyboard, then Keyboards.
3. Choose Add New Keyboard and select Glyphs.
4. Open any text field and switch keyboards when you want to type a saved symbol.

Find and copy a character

Use Browse to search Unicode symbols and special characters by name, category, keyword, or code point. Open a symbol to copy the character, name, or Unicode value.

Use favorites

Add symbols to Favorites when you want them available quickly in the app and keyboard. This is useful for arrows, math signs, currency symbols, hearts, punctuation, and scripts you use often.

Use Draw

Open Draw, sketch the symbol shape, and choose Find Match. Glyphs will show close matches so you can copy the right character with context.

Use iCloud Sync

Turn on iCloud Sync in Settings when you want supported preferences, favorites, and recent symbols to stay in sync across devices signed in to the same Apple Account.
